New classes starting after Easter

I will be doing 2 new taster courses after Easter.
They are both for the Adult Learning Service and details are as follows:
Monday 10 - 12 will be Tai Chi Fan
Monday 1 - 3 will be 8 Treasures Qigong
Venue: Granby Adult Learning Centre, Granby Street L8

If you wish to participate you will need to enrol on the 19th April at the time the course is advertised. The course will then start the week beginning the 26th and will last for 4 weeks finishing on the 24th May. (Please note there will not be a session on the bank holiday).

If you are in receipt of means tested benefit you will need to bring proof with you to enrolment to qualify for fee remission. There will be a learning pass charge for everyone.

Festival of Health and Wellbeing

This Sunday - 7th February - the postponed launch of the Year of Health and Wellbeing takes place. The whole event runs from 10.30 - 4.30 at Wavertree Tennis Club. I will be doing Tai Chi demonstration at 3.05pm along with some of my students. Please come and join in or at least come over and say hello.

More cancellations

Due to the icy weather conditions I have cancelled the Thursday evening class (7.1.10). All being well all classes should resume as normal next week.

Also the launch of the Year of Innovation, Health and Wellbeing has been postponed. It should have been held this Sunday but has been carried over to the 7th February.

Taiji Kung Fu Fan course

I will be starting a new course on Monday 18th January at Granby Adult Learning Centre, Granby Street, Liverpool 8. It will be 10 - 12 each Monday for 9 weeks with a break for half term in February.

Enrolments for the course are on Monday 11th January between 10 - 12. The cost of the course is £46 plus a £5 learning pass. If you receive means tested benefits you will only pay for the learning pass, however you will need to bring proof. If you are over 60 then the price is halfed plus the £5. Again you need to bring proof of age (bus pass etc will suffice).

Year of Innovation, Health and Wellbeing

2010 is Liverpool's Year of Innovation, Health and Wellbeing.

This Sunday (10.1.10) sees the launch of this year and it will take place at the Lifestyles Tennis Centre, Wavertree Sports Park from 10.30 - 4.30.

There will be demonstrations, activities and stands for you to wander around. I will be there doing a Tai Chi activity and demonstration. My time slot is 3.05pm. You will also find me at the Liverpool Adult Learning Service stand

Classes have been disrupted because of the weather and today's class (Wednesday) at St Charles has been cancelled. A decision about the Thursday evening class will be taken tomorrow - so watch this space!
